I talked with Maine Men’s Hockey Head Coach Ben Barr about the Black Bears 2022/23 Schedule.
It is a 35 game regular season schedule for Maine. 19 games will be played at Alfond Arena this season. It’s starts with an exhibition game on 10/1 with PIE. Non-Conference games will feature Quinnipiac, AIC, Canisius, and Anchorage. Northeastern, Lowell, Providence, BU (1 game), Merrimack (1 game), BC, and UMass will all make the trip to Orono for Hockey East games.
The Black Bears have 17 road games. It will start with the Ice Breaker in Colorado on 10/7 & 10/8. Maine will play Denver and Air Force at the Ice Breaker. The Black Bears will play one game at Bentley, two at Colgate in Non-Conference play. Hockey East road games will be at UConn, Merrimack, Vermont, BU, and UNH for two games. One game trips will be played at BC and Lowell.
